Poetry of a Lifetime
Seeing You Again
I thought I could stand to see you again
When we were to meet at the party at a quarter past ten
I tried to ignore you, walked away when you came near
I soon found out that was impossible, id always live in fear
I ran out on you, on my friends into the coldest of nights
I was crippled, hidden in the dark and could not see the lights
Trembling, unknown to the world, unknown to myself
Now I've got nothing to do but hide in my own self
Later that night, as I walked home alone
Thinking about what went wrong, I should have known
I know Ill never love a greater girl
like there will never be a brighter pearl
